We have a rental property with a 40 or so year old 42" wide electric coil cooktop. Looking for a replacement 42" wide Electric cooktop with cutout dimensions of about 40" W x 20" D. Anyone besides Miele make one? 42" width with fill the space and we're trying to avoid having to fill in counter space. Prefer glass-ceramic and there's not gas in the house

Miele has the KM 5880 in 208 and 240V. I think 240V is for residential and is single phase?

What kind is the old one? it might be worth fixing, or get a 36" CT and fill in the counter top, there are companies that sell filler strips made out of SS for this purpose.

Depending on your counter top material you may be able to cut the opening a little larger and install two 24" electric tops, or a 30" and a built-in counter saver to fill the space.

It would have to be a hell of a nice rental property to put in a $2,600.00 CT that probably only has a 10-15 year life at best.

Not that nice but figuring cost of adding tile work a SS fill strip is a good idea. Old stove made it 40 years unlikely anything we buy today will hit 20 years.
