I have now recycled the Zanussi washer and i took some videos and some pictures as well. I have also filmed some stuff i have saved from the machines. Often its just the plate, but i also have two drums from dryers as well.

Lets see.. We begin with a pic of the front of the Zanussi machine

Final video (Drum-roll) i show the things i have saved from the machines.

Here you also see the front plate from my old General Electric dishwasher that i had before. Sadly the machine leaked water into the water and it shorted out. There was not much to do about that. I wished i could have repair that but it couldnt be done. I tried at work fixing it.

In the video you will also see the Liab drum and that toploaded dryer drum also. And a few more stuff. Hope ya like my clips and all that.

Fredrik,

Thank you very much for the pictures and the videos. That Zanussi washer is very similar to the first automatic washing machine my grandmother had. I think hers was a bit older and also more BOL. Hers had only 6 programmes and a different switch for spin or no spin. Also the layout of the timer was different, but nevertheless the pictures and videos bring back good memories. I think my grandmother bought her Zanussi somewhere in the second half of the 60's. Interesting to see how well built these machines were.

You have saved some nice things, I especially like the control panel of the General Electric dishwasher. Neighbours of us had a General Electric dishwasher, but theirs must have been a bit newer.

Fredrick as Louis says thank you, that was very interesting.

It reminds me a little bit of the early Indesits. I moved one once and it was very heavy.

Do you know the spin speed?

Rob

Yes...

Rob that's what I was thinking - it's the colouring on the control panel and the door area - look very similar to not only the early unidirectional `L' series Indesits but also the slightly later ones when the dispenser was put to the normal place, the machines had 3 silver dials and a few push buttons. I knew 3 people who had these and they all used number 5 wash (a high level wash) and just varied the temperature. They then had to shift the dial to number 4 for a spin. Memories....

Fredriksam can you have some photos of the detergent dispenser, or do you made a video where we can see how work the detergent dispenser?
