Hey guys,

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an old spline off the agitator shaft? I've done all I can think of, torch, clr, lubricants, all with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mike

Why Do You Want To Remove It ?

Just shove the agitator back on the rubber part of the spline and go on using the washer, if you are trying to replace a bad transmission let the old stuck spline go away with the old transmission.

Why to remove?

Hi John,

Thanks for the response! Long story so will save the details, but I have two FF washers, but one agitator. The agitator has a spline in it. The machine I am using has a leak around the boot that I can't get stopped. Replaced the boot, no luck. There's no rust in the outer tub. Just has me perplexed but I have just not had enough time to work on it more I want to use the same agitator between these two machines.

Thanks again for the response!
