Ideas for Storing Literature |

Hi Guys,
I am looking for ideas on the best ways to store vintage literature, I have collected quite a vast amount over the last 30 years. I currently have it all in box folders, lever arch folders etc but am wondering if this the best way ? The collection has cost £££’ s over the years Here is just a weeny bit of the stash lol Cheers Keith

Hi Keith,
I am running into the same problem — one part of me thinks we should save this stuff digitally as back up. I’m only saying that because I lost my materials in a wildfire a few years ago and wish now that I at least took photos or something of them and stored them in the cloud. Check around museum archival supply places
There are all sorts of binders, boxes and so forth designed for long term storage of things on paper. Most are made from various strengths of "acid free" paper thus things inside won't go brown or whatever, long as the container is placed in proper area.
A small box used for storing blankets, christening gowns and other textiles might work for your lot as well. Once also considered digitalizing much or all of our collection of vintage appliance manuals/information. Once found out about work involved it was "scrub that". *LOL* There is a reason services that do such things charge very dear for their time. | ||
