I just picked up a pretty nice Firestone 5-B-13. The code on the data plate is 47-8-7LFP. I can't find much online on Firestones. Who made them? What year is it? Anything I should be aware of before I start tinkering with it? It looks like it should plug in and run.... which I will try after checking it out a little and making sure nothing is obviously wrong (or someone starts waving their arms and shouting "Danger, Danger, Will Robinson!")

1948. No manufacturer, just Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. the seller.

I wonder if Lovell made the wringer?

I wonder if Apex could have made this machine? The agitator is somewhat reminiscent
of the one that was used in their wringer machines?

interesting agitator in a very cool wringer washer

Yes, I thought of Apex also when I saw that agitator. If this machine is up and running, I'd love to see a video of it in action. I bet that agitator churns up a lot of splashy action.

I am not sure that is the original agitator. The washer is described in the appliance trade in blue book as having a 4 vane agitator. It is possible that a modification was made. I am sure we are all familiar with machines where someone had an idea of how to make them work better (clears throat).
