I was visiting shopgoodwill.com (dangerous to do) and stumbled on this Waring blender. We've all be in the position in which you say to yourself "I don't need another thing in the house" but I couldn't resist. It was so unique, I purchased it. Never seen this model before. Tried looking on line but very little information is available. All I could find out is, it's a mid 1960's model.

Looks like a blender had a rendezvous with some HiFi equipment.
Well, you never know what`s going on when you leave your appliances unattended.

Usually I don`t like anything with fake wood panels, but this one is different.
A real eye catcher!

Good find. I bought one a few years ago off Ebay. It's definitely unique.

1,000 watts!  Wow!  Excellent score! Start scouring the thrift stores for replacement carafes.  Make sure they use the same kind of drive mechanism.  Waring used (at least?) three different types over the years.

Coolest retro blender I've ever seen.   It does look like it would be a challenge to keep clean if it got regular use.

Neat and handsome looking blender-have seen these in of all places --coookbooks.I could see the control panel having a problem if the container should ever overflow.Do like the 1000W motor-this machine could compete with more modern blenders for smoothies involving whole or frozen ingredients-just watch how much you load in--no overflowing!

Wow, it looks even better with the tall jar with the matching trim.

Whenever I see something like this I always wonder about the designer.  It must have been nice to work in an era when there was actually a market for nicely styled middle-of-the-road products.  Where as today most things are either Walmart cheap or top-end luxury.
