Based on the handle style, the refrigerator is a 66, 67 or 68 model. In addition to White, I've seen them in Canary Yellow, Coppertone, Turquoise and Avocado. Iknow several people who had one's like this. The 65 models had a smaller chrome handle, and in 69 the woodgrain finished type was introduced.

Louis, hope you can get this nice one.

Well the appliance god has smiled upon me. They are all mine. All I need now is a male to help me roll them up the ramp of the U-Haul.

Hey thanks Paul. I'm ready to go, but still unable to find a strong, able bodied man to help me. I GUESS I can manage the appliance dolly by myself. Looking to pick-up this weekend. 3 hr+ drive from here one way. Oh the things we do for vintage appliances!

A 20-minute drive from my house. Glad they're going to a good home.

That's great news, Louis! Are you keeping all three for yourself?

Alas no.

I already have a KDS-58 and a Caloric Ultramatic gas range. I only need the refrigerator. Happily, I have found loving homes for the KDI-15 and the G.E. P7.

Louie, thank you for making the effort to save these and give them opportunity to find new homes for the items you don't want/need.  Very generous, thoughtful.  And glad you found new homes for them.

Well they arrived safely.

I'm glad too Bob. It's would be just unthinkable if these were lost. They're condition truly is immaculate. I'll be posting a thread soon. For now, I just want to drop into bed and dream, vintage, 1960's appliances dreams...

Louis, I'm so glad you were able to get this! It's my favorite style of GE refrigerator.

OMG....the effort and time put into to getting these appliances is unreal at times...

rent a truck...

drive 3+ hours to get there....

with exceptional help from an AWO member(kudos Scott) to disconnect and remove from the house...

3+ hour return trip....unload fridge

next day, another 4+ trip to Jersey to unload remaining appliances....

with traffic, another 6+ hour ride back to Uhaul...and a cab ride home...

grateful the appliances were FREE, but tack on your time, renting a truck, mileage, gas and tolls!...

buying you dinner somehow just doesn't cover it...…

but I was thinking of something along the lines of a stamp commemorating you.....now if I can find that picture of you in the sling....lol

the things we do for our vintage collection....

Oh trust me, it cost a pretty penny. Example, just to cross the Lincoln tunnel into midtown, $42. I haven't tallied up the total cost, but I'm pretty sure it was more than repairing my old Frost Guard. Scott was a godsend. Without his help, no way I could have handled those heavy appliances. The P7 was actually heavier than the refrigerator!

While exhausting...it was worth it. Beautiful appliances will be enjoyed again and hopefully passed on to future generations.

Louis, it was my pleasure to help you! What great find! It is funny the lengths we will all go to for a vintage appliance.
But in the end, it's all worth it!
