I just bought my first vintage washing machine, a Monitor. It is white and stainless and the motor runs. I plan to restore it. Anybody else on here got one?
I will try to post a pic or two later.

I believe this is a impeller driven agitator with a hand crank wringer, right?

A few have popped up on here in the past.

Thanks for your reply. Yes that description sounds right. I love all old things mechanical, including my washing machine. It is missing the decal and I would love to find a source for it so I can replace it during the restoration.I did get an aluminum cover/lid with mine though and pictures I have seen of others do not show the lid so maybe they are missing when the machines are found a lot of times?https://apis.mail.yahoo.com/ws/v3/mailboxes/@.id==VjN-mJ5Z6nvea2MzakOiO6nfCgWd4B6WH8Jb8WC8MVLqyrdGS0oKo-dWi0ujvg_FdKpKUWhjIv2uHVC2R0Wv8Q9VgQ/messages/@.id==ALGhIi8l0K6hXK6C1gVuoBxX1oA/content/parts/@.id==2/thumbnail?appId=YMailNorrinLaunch

Many years ago as a kid here, we had a Monitor that was used to wash kids diapers and not much else and this was in the early 60's. It was replaced with my grandmothers Maytag wringer which I still have, any one want it?

Pardon my post in which I tried and failed to post a pic of my machine. I usually have no trouble posting pics, but am experiencing "technical" difficulties with my computer right now. I will have to get my 10 year old grandson to fix it this weekend!

The "Monitor King" would be me. I have about seven or eight of them. Any questions, I'm happy to answer.
