Not the next top 40 hit but... interesting.

I've mentioned in another thread I'm looking for repair help in Denver. Doesn't seem to be easy to find so... time to dig in myself. Attached are two audio recordings. One is of the fridge running. The other is it plugged in and in the "off" position.

First one, the compressor sounds gurgly or like hammering perhaps. Clear at the 6 second mark.

Second one, listen for the electronic "buzz" or "hum" that is omnipresent.

I'm mechanically capable but not appliance experienced. I have a lovely 1961 Frigidaire frost free that I want to keep running for many more years. I'd like to start making plans to tune this one up!
