I'm wondering if anyone has replaced theirs, or if there is a resource for actual belt numbers or dimensions?

I removed them and brought them to a large auto parts place. The belts I got were "slightly" wider. I couldn't get them to work. Thank goodness I can return them.

I'm always hesitant to go to an appliance parts store because they are usually so anal about part numbers.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Guy

For exact original size Westinghouse Laundromat washer replacement drive belts use these...

Motor to Speed Change Unit: 4L270 <<<-Click to view belt
Speed Changer to Wash Drum Pulley 4L430 <<<-Click to view belt

New belts will require a belt adjustment as outlined in the service manual.

Opps edit, I just realized you meant the Dryer (D8)...
Motor to Idler 3L380
Idler to Basket 3L420

I

did to to an auto parts store to replace mine once. Seems like they might have been a little wider... but they worked.

I always get mine from D&D on fleabay. Great quality.

Less expensive too...

He also has most of them in the kevlar wrapped cloth as well which makes for less wear, less rubber dust and runs quieter as well!

The belts just arrived, and they were a perfect fit! The dryer seems quieter now, too!
