There is a picture of one of those big jugs with the pouring dispenser with the little clear cup over it. The label says HEAVY 10X DUTY.

Under that it says:
SET IN STAINS CAKED-ON DIRT FOUL ODORS

The text reads: Heavy Duty Tool For Heavy Duty Stains and Odors

What the hell are people putting in their laundry?

Under that is a product I have not seen advertised before: TIDE Antibacterial Fabric Spray. Kills 99.9% of Bacteria.

There are no coupons. You have to go to Brandsaver.com for those.

In another thread a week or so back. IIRC he got it at Lowes or something, have yet to spy this version of Tide at local shops. Have seen it on fleaPay (surprise, surprise)however.

Again my guess is P&G is constantly upping their game now that Persil is hot on their trail. *LOL*

Regarding the no coupons thing; that has been the norm for P&G for awhile now.

Usually around first week of month P&G brand savers does a huge insert to Sunday papers. Some products do have coupons, others like Tide and Downy require visiting that P&G brand saver website.

That was me. Lowes had it on clearance, along with Persil regular.

The Tide HD didn't seem to do much better than Persil 2-in-1 (I don't have any Stainfighter yet) but the scent for a Tide liquid was easily the best that they make. Not overly sweet, not overly strong, washed out as well. The HD product wasn't listed as being HE compatible, but it by far had the least amount of foaming I've had from any Tide (or P&G) product.

I wouldn't personally go out of my way to buy it, but it isn't a bad product at all.

I'll still stick to Tide Powder (fresh breeze, or whatever) or regular Persil.

The picture in the flyer had the HE Turbo sticker on the jug.

For the record, the Tide Heavy Duty is THICK. I used some today and filled it to the "1" mark on the cap as usual. Set heavy soil, 3 rinses. At the 3rd rinse, it still hadn't washed out of the little soap boat. I had to pause the washer and reset the rinses to get two more added back in. So user beware if you get it.

It cleans well, yes. But it is really really thick.

Maybe you need to use hotter water to flush it out or just pour it on the fabrics.

Tide HD

It’s a great detergent. I used it on a load of rags and dog towels and it removed all stains. Some greasy spots were left from engine oil, but nothing 100% removes it.

I had it set on "warm" and the volume of water that was poured into the washer should have cleaned out anything left behind. This has been the only detergent I've had this problem. Regular tide, and every powder I've used has always flushed out fine. It is really the consistency of a not overly thick maple syrup, but thicker than regular liquid detergent.

Again, it cleans wonderfully well, and the scent isn't the usual P&G sweet. I have no problems using it, I just won't use the soap boat next time. And will wait until after the first minute or two that it is done filling. That all being said, it still doesn't seem to clean any better than Persil 2-in-1 (or whatever the new name is) and is more expensive.
