1950s washer and dryer FREE to collector. Pick up in Braintree MA

Hello,

I wanted to post an offer to give a washer and dryer from the 1950s to one of the collectors in this forum. Pictures below. Whirlpool washer and laundrofille (spelling?) dryer. Were working in the late 1980s when they were unplugged and put into storage. Have not been plugged in since. DIRT is showing in the pictures, they have been in a outdoor carriage house for storage.

Pick up would be in Braintree MA around the 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th of May --flexible but have to work details out with the family. Email adamsckelly@gmail.com or text 770-298-9908.

Just ask that you share pictures of any restorations or clean up with the family! Want these to have a happy new home.

Thanks!

Nice set, thank you for offering them to people here, instead of setting them at the curb.

For FREE, if I was within a couple of hours, I would grab them.

I would be interested in just the washer if that works. I would arrange for someone to pick it up.

thanks

Thanks @Tasser...pick up can be arranged with family

Happy to work out a pick up --
To answer several questions, an engineer in Braintree who worked for ?Fireman's Mutual? bought these and used them until he passed away in his 90s in the late 1980s. So I am not sure the year he purchased them.. BUt he babied everything he bought. I was visiting family in the area and his sister-in-law gave them to me. I stored them at my aunts house because I live out of state, but they got buried under all of her storage --now her kids are cleaning out the house and the house is sold. They were working when we moved them across the street. They have not been plugged in since. And have finally been release from the stacks of materials in the storage in front of them. I can't get them in time --so was hoping to find a happy home for them.
There will be family there next week, and I can work out pick up details with them and you.
Arent you sure you dont want to pick up the dryer too and give it to someone who can take it, but not this qucikly?

Hope that answers your questions.

@Kenmore58... You are so close.....

:)
Rhode Island is not far from Braintree --and they are actually calling your name!
Or even a pick-up to "save" them for a future home???

I would take the dryer too but have no room for it! I've had the matching Whirlpool dryer to this washer for years. Just been waiting to find the washer!

How would I go about arranging the pick up? My email address is:

tasser_2000@yahoo.com

Thanks!

To @tasser about pick up of washer

Hi,
My cousins are headed up that way now. I will email you directly and get you in contact with them so you can arrange a pick up.
So glad you are able to make a matching pair with this washer!
Please share pictures when you get it home and restored! I just want it to go to a good home.

PLEASE HELP ME FIND A HOME FOR THE DRYER --even if it is temporary. It is SO cool I love it --just cannot get to Braintree in time to take it back south.

Thanks!
