Hello everyone,
I recently rescued a Kenmore 70 series direct drive washer from the junkyard. Brought it home for some simple repairs and a good cleaning. Prior to the repairs the machine worked in all functions and cycles. All was going well till I got ready to close it up and my worst nightmare came to life. I have 3 sets of widgets left over. So, I broke the machine back down trying to figure out where the things went. I though I had it figured out but when the washer goes to spin it makes a very loud rattling sound. It washes and drains just fine, but the spin is very loud.
Here are the best pictures of the widgets left over. I can not find any diagrams that shows where these pieces would possibly go. The washer is model 110.82673110. If there is anyone that can help me out in anyway I will so greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Tommy (Losangeles)

Those are remnants of the shipping strap. The pins fall into the cup when the strap is pulled, as nothing more than a storage method so they don't fall out onto the floor.  Toss it all to the trash.

As usual Glenn is right on the money,

The only thing I would add is you should recycle the steel pin and clip, you can recycle the steel stuff in your household recycling as they do magnetic separation.

Than you Glenn and John for your help in solving the issue of a rattling spin and mystery parts. Removed the pins and put the machine back together. Runs perfectly and much quieter. Thanks again Tommy
