Per the ad: "This vintage washer and dryer set is truly amazing! Made by General Motors who owned Frigidaire during the 1950’s and during a time when items were built to last. The set is over 60 years old and still runs!!!"

Sherwood Green. The dryer is model TR60. It looks like the rear permagum seals for the Filtrator assembly have failed and the baked enamel has not stood up to the moisture well.

Amazingly Beautiful and rare set!

Wow the very first year of Frigidaire appliances in color 1954! Just beautiful. I always find it odd when people post so many exterior machine pictures without an interior shot of the machines. It's like posting a car for sale and not showing the interior.

I sure hope someone saves these!

They are selling the color, not the  guts; that is why the price is $999.  The setting looks like they are in a thrift store.

True, but you know they didn't pay anywhere near one grand for that set. So anything other than for time, effort and gas for collection is pure gravy. Well if the set sells for anything near what they are asking.

Items like this can be tricky. Ideally things such as this will go to someone with time, skills, and knowledge to deal with any defects, and keep the things running for another fifty or so years. Anyone taking seller's word that items are going to run like a top right off the bat may be sorely disappointed.

So things then come down to what they always do in this game; what does a hobbyist truly believe this set is worth.

This may or may not matter as some sellers of vintage appliances "know" their items are worth $$$, and won't budge on price. Even if it means the things sitting for months or years without so much as a nibble.

So anyone interested might want to take this into consideration.

I’m sure at that price still sell very quickly.
