I have one of these machines. This is the machine my Grandmother had in her kitchen when I was a small child thus my love of washing machines.

Many thanks to Launderess for finding me yet another machine. The machine looks like it hasn't been run in 70 years and is locked up.I am working on freeing it. |

Bob- I was thinking how small I must have been looking up to a washer with wooden rollers that my mom turned by hand to squeeze out the water afer it washed. I don't remember what the brand was, but I could barely reach the handle that enabled the two rollers to squeeze out the water. I cannot imagine, if you were small at the time, what this Bendix looked like to you as a kid....it's HUGE. Anyway, our small worlds made such an impression...forever.
Good luck Bendixmark, with freeing it up. It's a beast of a machine, to me, but there are way bigger washers, of course. |

The tub spins freely now the water pump is locked up with crud probably. It has the black timer motor of death but I have a parts bendix with a good one. |
