What is your favourite washer drum design? Mine (extremely biased) has to be the hotpoint drum used in the liberator thru to the machines pre merloni. I just love it. I like to watch the centre circle bob all around when the machine is unbalanced. It goes all over the place! Lmao. close second is the old hoover type with the hole in the back which im not sure what the hole contributed to the machine. But hey it was a great drum. Best drum for a short spin, i have to admit to liking the zamussi as i think the drum contributes to one of the best short spin extraction performance. Worst and most boring drum is the Servis Rainwave drum and pre hoover candy drums. The domino 4 my mum had had the same back as a rainwave just plain with a gentle mound. Not exciting at all. More opinions, views the merrier as usual! Nick

Nick I loved the early Creda's like the Creda super de luxe. It had similar holes to the 70s-80s Hoovers but the back was patterned. I loved the drums of the early 80s Hoovers and Hotpoint with it's large rim in the 80s too. I never much cared for the Indesit drums which had funny paddles and plan backs. Rob |
