Kitchen Aid portable DW KDR66A and a Florence 40" electric range. Both in really nice shape.

Poor Range.  It looks like it should be in one of those humane society or aspca ads with the demented voice over, which I am mocking, telling you about how hot it was and there was no shade or water, which is a true tragedy that I am not mocking, only with this range, it would be telling how it has no door handles and bad porcelain.

I love those surface units. With an 3000 watt induction cooker in the kitchen with an older range, you don't have to fret the speed of these lower wattage elements because you can zip up to cooking temperature with induction and then continue with lower heat on the resistance element. It saves wear and tear on the switches and elements, too.

Hear the difference ?

Are you just going to be listening to the compressor drone on? LOL The problem is I have nothing to play a record on anymore...

I didn't look, but I think the handles were inside. The top was shrink wrapped, so someone took some care.

Well that's heartening. Thank you.

All I can say about Fedders air conditioners, at least the big window units of the 50s and into the 60s was that they iced up at night. We had it happen in motels and with the Fedderses in our neighborhood. An appliance man once told me that it had to do with the way the coils were staggered too tightly in the evaporator. I don't know if it had to do with the cooler nighttime temperatures or if it had more to do with the cumulative running time just gradually building up ice. Maybe the smaller units with the horizontal evaporator did not do it. I don't have too much good to say about Fedderses.
