A Carry Cool? They put out cold air, but they just did not put it out very far.

We had that same one growing up, my dad bought it while he was stationed in Arizona in the 70's and it lasted until 2011 when it stopped cooling.. I have the Kenmore "cool and light" rebadge, it is anything but light..lol Neat little a/c though, if you turn the thermostat to the coldest, that little compressor will freeze that evaporator solid!

Problem is the evap fan is NLA and nothing else fits. I loved mine while it lasted.

I still got a Carry Cool in my attic. It runs, but the compressor turns on and off and no cooling. Free to anyone that wants to fix it.

Watch the meter spin...

GE Carry Cools are tremendous energy hogs by todays standards. I went back and looked at an old post on one of these. 7.5 amps for 4,000 BTUs. A current model GE window unit will give you 10,000 BTUs for the same 7.5 amps.
