In the 60s, Gibson was the premium brand sold by the Georgia Power Company. I think Gibson was the first brand to have the air sweep feature and from the middle photo with the little black post visible above the door for the control, this might have it, too. Given the heat wave and the low price, this is probably gone already.

Funnily enough, Consumer Reports found that air distribution wasn’t any better with the air sweep feature turned on than with it off (they considered it good either way.) I don’t know if that’s true or if it’s just one of their wacky, inexplicable conclusions. I remember quite a few people had these and were satisfied.
