I like Rossmann for their special offers.
Their biggest competitor DM offers "always low prices". Would not buy the big manufacturer`s brands there as you can get them cheaper when on sale somewhere else. As to the quality of their own brands I think it`s mixed bag in both stores. Aldi and Lidl are usually a safer bet but variety is much smaller there. Personally prefer DM`s "Denk mit" brand to Domol when it comes to detergents. One of their liquid color detergents (Dalli made) was recently ranked good by Warentest. Along with Aldi and Lidl they were overall the best products in the test. Domol was only found mediocre but still better than Ariel. | ||

The compact powders of Ariel are still among the best products on the market within this format.
Their traditional powders, the color liquid and the pods not so much. Actually the only big brand that got a good rating in the latest test for color liquids and color pods was Persil liquid. Not as good as some store own brands but still good. None of the pods ranked better than "satisfying" with Persil on top, Ariel was only "fair" and P&G`s Lenor pods were "poor". Unilever`s expensive Coral liquid was also rated "poor". Henkel`s budget brands Spee and Weißer Riese ranked "fair". Wish I could tell you something about powders for delicates, but the last time they did a test on this particular format has been about 20 years ago. Suppose only few would choose a powder for delicates these days. | ||
