Hi guys, I need your help, could the agitator cap from a 60's-70's Kenmore washer Super Roto-Swirl agitator fit in a direct-drive agitator drive shaft? See pics of...

* KENMORE's agitator cap with (built-in) screw
*Super Roto-Swirl agitator spline
*Belt-Drive agitator drive shaft
*Direct-Drive agitator drive shaft

the two drive shafts look identical, will the screw fit in the direct-drive shaft?

That sure is a good looking baseplate assembly for a belt drive washer!
