that the knob broke off and you will have to use plyers to turn. I am getting rid of it due to the fact my new home is electric. Will need to pick up.

Worded exactly from the ad. I found a little humor in this one just like all of the other ads stating “it works perfectly, BUT....”. Also usually states we got a new set but this one is still in great working condition.

If he looks carefully at the timer shaft, he could probably go to a junk yard and find a knob, maybe even for that exact dryer. Even if he had to buy one, he would come closer to getting his asking price with the knob than without it.

I agree with both comments. Working in service once someone grinds on the plastic timer shaft a few times with a pair of pliers then you have to replace the timer as well as the knob and the job comes to about what was originally paid for the machine.
