I would grab that thing so fast if it were closer to me and the dimensions were workable.  It would clean up nicely.

mrkombi .. What a beauty! Congrats and good luck with the rest of the project.

Spacepig... I also liked the original pictures... the last image in your original post would have given my Mom a heart attack however. haha. She grew up in the 40's/50's and that old tale of how she had heard that someones friends, sister's, cousin's young son was playing hide and seek and hid in an old un-working fridge in the yard. I must've heard that story a million times.

I had a fear of them for a couple years because of it, And of course I never even came across an abandoned fridge until much later as a teenager, she would have you believe the evil things were lurking around every corner.

Corey; my mom also used to worry about kids getting trapped in old fridges. But, as far as I know, that was an extremely rare occurrence and not something that was likely to ever be a factor.

I recently got a functional Grunow fridge and in doing research I found a recipe book which featured this fridge. One of the selling points of it was that it had no pressurized gases in it and used a safe refrigerant. They showed a girl sitting in the cabinet, back to the side of the cabinet and feet to the other side. It was to show how "safe" it was and that she was in no danger of poisoning from the refrigerant, but not thinking about entrapment!

I plan to scan this booklet and share it eventually but keep forgetting!

So glad you got this refrigerator. I was actually thinking about it the other day, wondering what happened to it. Jeannine

so happy

wife thinks I am crazy.. LOL

110 degrees in Indio that day, the man bought his house & this was in the garage,

if anyone has any info or parts for this particular fridge please let me know, debating on painting it or leave as is with its patina.

maybe just re chrome the handles & trim ?

looks to be rare as I have not found another anywhere online.
