A 1956 Philco L-1268 ..... in pink?

I'm a self taught (expert?) on this refrigerator model since I have one myself and did an extensive resto. It never came available in pink exterior. Up till '55 any Philco fridge only came in white. In '56 however, they offered them in 2 new colors, startone (a very light blue-gray) and suntone, a pale yellow ..... as shown in the brochure below.

However in '56 the wire shelves went from chromed steel to an anodized aluminum .... and Philco had them anodized in a light pink. It took me a long time to find someone who could redo this pink anodization. Philco also did the aluminum evap cover in the interior in the same pink. Including the ice trays anodized in this color as well! Really cool ....

So when someone painted this fridge pink, the interior was already a good match!

If interested, here is an extensive photo album of a pristine '56 L-1168 fridge example showing what this fridge looked like brand new. The only difference between the 1168 and 1268 was more interior chrome accents on the 1268.

Like Pharaoh did when he built a pyramid, bring plenty of help if you buy that fridge. It weighs a ton.

Brochure says .....

326 lbs. I bet 50 of it is the thick porcelain coating in the interior! lol
