Friday we received a publisher's catalog of books scheduled for the coming season. An angel turned the catalog to the page with this new title. I don't know if any here remember My Beautiful Launderette in the 1980s. People in the theater turned as we gasped when a hammer was taken to a turquoise Frigidaire with three ring agitator. We were the only ones so moved and this theater was at Dupont Circle.

The cover of this book features a photo of colorful Cissel  dryers with the vertical sliding temperature selector and the coin meter with the knob that accepts a coin when the arrow points to the slot and then starts the dryer when turned to the left.
