I'm SO freaking pumped! I ran down to my local Frigidaire dealer over lunch break and he had the TOL model 1749 Frigi TL'er I wanted IN STOCK! No waiting for a special order. Got a great price, too: $385. Of course, this is the 7th washer I've purchased from him since 1986, so I expect good deals.

As is the case with all of Frigidaire's non-Affinity machines, this one is from the Boring-As-A-Bar-Of-Soap school of design, but it least it matches my current Frigidaire pair perfectly. In fact, both washers and the dryer each have four control knobs and look-alike timer dials. Can't get much more uniform than that, LOL.

The plumber will be at my house tomorrow morning installing the 2nd drain pipe and the washer gets installed on Wednesday morning.

YAY! I can't wait!! In fact, it's all I can do to keep my mind on work for the remainder of the afternoon. Pictures to follow shortly, kids....

It just keeps getting better: My appliance dealer called and said he could install the new washer tomorrow at noon, right after the plumber leaves. Gee, I wonder who is going to get terribly sick tomorrow around noon and have to go home from work, LOL? (In case my boss is reading: NOT ME, no, no, no. Not me.)

Eugene? Skive off work for a washer? You'd never do a thing like that!

;-)

Oh, and Glamwales, your excellent screen name gets you free lodging at my house anytime. And prepare to eat a lot because I love to cook. In fact, I have dinner guests arriving in an hour. I'm going to dirty-up as many tablecloths, napkins, dishtowels, chef's aprons and bar mops as I possibly can for the big Debut Load tomorrow afternoon.
