I need to know how much freon should be added to a 1962 GE Spacemaker refrigerator?

Hi Kelly, if I read the GE service manual correctly, it was originally 10 1/2 oz. (10.5) of R12 refrigerant. Assuming you are converting to R134A refrigerant, 10 1/2 oz (10.5) of R12  is equivalent to 7.9oz of R134A. I'm no expert, so you professional guys out there please confirm.
