The ad says the stove has an am/fm radio, so I'm assuming they think that's what the meat thermometer dial is.

"VERY COOL RETRO 1959 GENERAL ELECTRIC STOVE!! Yellow enamel is in very good condition. All the bells and whistles (AM/FM radio) on this adorable piece of history need a little TLC, but can be easily fixed. The burners need replacing, which is very inexpensive. Make this the statement piece of your kitchen!!"

That's pretty lame advertising.  Obviously the seller hasn't even bothered to read the information on the backsplash.  An am/fm radio?????

I'm betting that glass window on the right is a TV, too.

It does show well.

Someone should contact the seller and ask if the radio still works.

Well, here is my respect on that:

“An AM/FM radio? Does it and the TV (presumably the window on the oven door) still work and get in stations?”

I remember when a character in the Dick Tracy comic strip, Vera Aldid was his name, I think, had a range with a radio in the backsplash.

Seller's response to question "Does the radio work?":
Hi! I don’t think it does. We inherited this yellow cutie when we bought our house. And used it for 5 years!! But were not able to cook and dance sadly. Maybe an easy fix??

Either they're on some good drugs or complete air-heads.

Yes, I have a Facebook profile, so here, as follows:

daveamkrayoguy's profile picture
I'd gotten an answer my RESPONSE, and I quote, here:

"HAHA!! Ummm, yeah!! 🙃
But, sadly, no, we were never able to get the radio to work. Tho I’m confident some other more skilled individuals could!!"

Obviously, they'd realized there IS no radio, so they must be poking fun back at those poking fun anthem, I would assume...

Better than the Kenmore washer & dryer that was also advertised there, (Months ago, in a previous ad) of which I had inquired about, asking what the letters on the washer's control panel do, as the seller there, equally admired the car that I was posing in, in one of my pictures and she'd kept asking me about it,until I told her, and then, the conversation ended, and as for the W&D, I wish that I knew their whereabouts...
