Does anyone recognize the brand? The horizontally arranged handles, I thought, were unusual, considering most are vertically positioned".

Thank you.

It's a Sears Coldspot that used to be advertised a lot in the home magazine publications and I think I can make that name out on the panel above the handle on one of the doors...

Is this the one where the doors can be arranged in different left/right opening configurations and where one of the freezer/refrigerated compartments can be converted to another refrigerator/freezer space?

Sears Coldspot Three Door Refergerator 1969-71

Built By Whirlpool, these were really cool refs in their day, the top left compartment could be converted to a FF space or extra freezer compartment.

$60 is a great price, however it will cost almost that much to run every three months.

Coldspot Supermart

Combo is right; I also at first thought it said "Signature", but it actually reads "Supermart". There are various threads about these if you do a search on here.

Ah-ha, ha-ha!

Then I was right--SEARS!

That was "Supermarket", scrolled there, all along, & I like I said, I recognize it from a celebrity-endoresed ad from which I may even well have in some of my old home decor/improvement magazines...

(as in: "______(Insert Gal's Name)_____ could have bought any ____(Insert Appliance)____ brand, she wanted, but  she chose a ____(Insert Kenmore, Lady Kenmore or Coldspot)____ from Sears...!")

John is right as usual!!!

Unlike manual defrost fridges These monstrosities use a LOT of power These are what has given old fridges a bad name as energy hogs Unfortunately the energy police lumped all old fridges into the same category

I stand corrected.

The font threw me off. The "S" font is very similar to what was used for the "Signature" brand.

Thanks to all and now a Future Note

Soon...all the criticisms about the appliances that are energy hogs will be a moot point(or mute point), as solar energy is becoming more mainstream. In the meanwhile, if you love the appliance (whatever the HOG FACTOR is, electrically-speaking), enjoy the cost but not without some guilt of hogging a few kilowatts.

There was one here on CL a few months back.  It lingered for a couple of months, then showed up for FREE on the curb.  Curiosity nearly got the better of me, but I didn't want it and there was no need to waste the seller's time.  It appears this one was a two door model.
