The thing I find most interesting, is how similar the design language is between this specific Hamilton and the Maytags. That rectangle door window is just like the Maytag Combo, and the front trim strip and shape of the console panel are quite similar to the 1966+ Maytag center-dial machines, just flipped upside down and gold plated instead of chromed. You could put these side-by-side, and if you pulled the badges and/or swapped the knobs, one might think they were two tiers of the same brand. Anyone know what years this Hamilton was produced? |
