Hello All,

I'm getting ready to list some vintage Maytag dryer parts that we had laying around the shop, but we just had the console and top assembly, so I don't know what the model number for this unit was.

I'm hoping that someone might recognize the console and controls, and might be able to provide a model number for me to use in the listings, so that the parts can be found by someone who is searching the model number.

The color of the unit was white.

For extra credit...
I am also wondering if there is a name for the yellow part that is also pictured.

Please find the images of the console, controls, and mystery part attached.

Thanks,
John

It's the control panel and switch set from to a 1964-1965 Maytag DE/DG750 or DE750W. The yellow part is the capacitor to the original style electronic control, PN 3-1682. I don't see 3-1629 listed in the parts book, so it's probably somewhere in the 9-10 uF range.

More than likely the cap is probably no longer within range to properly dry a load of clothes, so I wouldn't sell it with any guarantees.

Capacitor from DE/DG 606/806/906?

I found a couple of threads where that capacitor (3-1929) was found in DE806 and DE606 machines (possibly also in the 906 and gas versions?)

Hi lorainfurniture! Thank you so much for inspiring me to conduct ketchup testing of my own. I used to have a Maytag dryer similar to the one these parts came from. It was from 1966. I also wanted to thank you for your honesty in regards to the 2018 SQ. Your YouTube channel is awesome. My ketchup testing is under the deluxe forum. Those are the parts to one of my favorite machines. Thank you, and keep it up!
