Excellent reading the energy savings don't come anywhere near as bad as today!
I still think KA should have heated the main wash instead of the first water fill. That to me was more of a waste of energy!

Why is it Gobblygook?

Same with suds savers. Many boomer era families were 4 to a dozen kids, not 2.3 yet.
Many were also one income households. Even upper middle class income families were on budgets. The pill had not yet come on the market. Vasectamies were also not common. My parents only believed in the rythm method, as if the church was going to feed, clothe, house, and educate us. No offense to the R.C. old schoolers now.
After baby no. 5, until Mom hit menopause, Dad slept on the sofa part of many nights. I recall because thats where he'd be when I was 18, getting up early for school or work.
Our current water and energy bills have dropped substantially since we've updated to low flow faucets, toilets, and energy star laundry. The city even changed out our water meter because they felt we werent using enough and it was faulty.
Say what you will, but we have grand kids now, and care about the environment also. We also recycle. Ignorance is bliss, as a mega ton polar ice cap has recently separated from Antarctica. Perhaps it is cyclical, but so what. That also means another ice age is in the future, if this planet, and the human race lasts that long.
The glaciers are gone in Glacier national park, so I guess there is no need to fund them either. Farms in Guatemala, etc. are suffering from drought, hence the mass exodous to Mexico and here. Peace!!!!!!!
