Whataburger (southern states mostly) has introduced a "limited time" breakfast burger and it's the legendary party in your mouth.

Starts with the 'junior' size beef and bun, which is everyone else's 'standard' size.  Then builds bacon, [real] egg, cheese and hashbrowns inside!

Eat as many as you can before the 'limited time' expires.  It's like voting to make it permanent.  Auf wiedersehen, Eggamuffin!

At 645 miles from nearest Whataburger, I’m going to have to lean on the southern AW contingent to handle this one. Sounds good, though, Rick!

Agreed Eugene.  It's 'good' but not 'worth driving halfway across the country' good.

I thought Whataburgers were almost exclusively a Texas chain. I loved eating there when we lived in El Paso. Not quite In-N-Out but it will give McDonalds or Burger King a run for their money.

There are more than 760 Whataburger restaurants across 10 states: Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and of course Texas.

Mostly central southern with a little west and east.  Not pacific, midwest, frost belt.  McD doesn't even MAKE burgers by comparison, but their fries whup everyone's booty.

Whataburger is consistently a go-to ... but there are several burger outfits here and in the area that may top them.

Brother took me to a $12 burger place.  Wasn't impressed.

McD is a good caloric value when on special, and they gulp easily.

Been Whataburgering since OKC 1975.  With big work and bigger cleanup I can do slightly better at home; mostly soon not bother.

And it's only 2 blocks away.

We have

Culvers, A Walburgers, and a Shake Shack. Have never had either. We like Red Robin.

Culver's

Went there for the first time this past Sun. I'd been past it several times, but had never stopped. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, fries and root beer. My friend had a burger and Coke. We thought it was OK, but not spectacular.

Never been to Whataburger. There's one in a shopping center in Flowood, MS, near where my cousin Melanie lives. Will have to try it next time I'm there.

Never been to Whataburger. They are in Florida but I've never even seen one in person, that was still in business. There was a former building of one in my hometown as a kid, but it was a Subway at the time.

Been seeing the commercials for Culver's but never been to one. I've seen Shake Shack in Orlando at the mall. We have Five Guys here in town but I don't care for them.

5 Guy's;

I tried one once. That was over 2 years ago, I was a heffer, and gained a pound that day I think. Never again! Way toooo greasy. It's a pain, or an excuse when your going through some crap, and I was eating my feelings. Those who have lost thier parents may understand. Time to take care of me again now.

I like Whataburger. I haven't had a burger from them in a long time though. I like to go there in the morning and get their biscuits and gravy. Not bad for fast food.
I cannot stand In-N-Out burgers. I do not see what they hype is with them.
Five Guys is good, just can be expensive.
Culver's is also good. Again I don't usually eat their burgers, I usually get their pork tenderloin sandwich. And I do like their frozen custard.
McDonald's is blah. About all I'll get from them is maybe an ice cream sundae or for breakfast, I'll get a couple of the burritos, if I am going someplace and want something fast.

I found Five Guys to be too greasy too, the fries are soggy and greasy as well. Some I know love it though.

McDonald's burgers are way too expensive for what they are, IMO. Still I occasionally will get a craving for a Big Mac meal, so I go for one and after I eat it I wonder why I blew $7 on it.

However, I do like most of McD's breakfast items except for the McMuffin. And the shakes are some of my favorites too.

Never been to Red Robin or In-N-Out, none here. I do want to finally try the Sonic here, I like corn dogs.

Back to Whataburger, I found on the map they're only in clusters up in north FL, so no wonder I've never seen one.

Sonic downsized burgers several years ago.  Whatab remains full-size.

Driving long distance to get food - drift

If my mom tasted and was impressed by this burger, she might drive to just to go get one!

Last year while traveling (by car) she stopped at a truck stop in New Mexico and ended up trying a slice of a “breakfast pizza“. After she got back to Southern California, she was going on and on about this “amazing” breakfast pizza she tried. She then decided to drive all the way back to New Mexico to pick up multiple slices to bring back to Southern California to share with her friends and local family (me). She then asked each person, including me, to report back on what we thought about it, giving it a 1 to 10 rating. Personally I didn’t think it was “all that“ and would NEVER drive THAT FAR for any food, unless I was going that way anyway.

Kevin

P.S. She since learned that other truck stops much closer, including here in California, I have that same breakfast pizza, LOL!

"I'm so hungry I could eat a breakfast pizza from a New Mexico truck stop."  [Chevy Chase, almost]

They're still available.  I had one this morn, first time.

The signs still say "limited time" but the staff believes it to be permanent.

Except twice due to sour weather, I've been there every Saturday morning since.
