The dishwasher hunt continues as we get closer to moving in each day, necessitated by the dying mice, the dwindling propane, and the wolf spiders the size of small dogs that migrate inside by the thousands each fall. This one is super close to home (45 min away). But before I pack up the kids to go look at it I wondered if I could prevail upon you guys to tell me if this was one of the machines made with the whirlpool power clean pump. If so, is there anything else handy I should know about this model?
Sorry the pictures are so grainy, they looked that bad in the listing.
Model # 6651577580
Thanks so much.
Rach

that is the Whirlpool equivalent in a Kenmore UltraWash...roughly 1988/89....

there is nothing you can throw at that machine that it can't handle....guaranteed!...

no Pre-rinsing needed EVER!....scrape off the big stuff, and toss it in...

the offer back then from Sears was that it could handle complete removal of a frosted chocolate cake, or the machine was FREE.....

can't tell you how many cakes I baked, only to open the door at the end, and find a clean machine...

I still have mine bought new in 1988....and found a spare on CL...just in case it ever dies...but doesn't look like it is going to happen any time soon

my tips on the racks started to wear away....and bought one of those repair kits and capped each tine.....something I wish I did long ago, the rubber tips are so much better for care of the dishes...just something to consider....

adjustable tilting top rack.....just keep aware that the tower and top shower feed needs to be kept clear for water flow...my kids have a bad habit of placing a glass or bowl over top blocking it....

I also like this version for the porcelain interior tub....

check and clean the inlet valve screen before installing....very easy to work on if ever needed...

probably one of the few machines that the motor/pump/ultrawash chamber can lift out from inside the machine.....remove a hose, a plug, 4 clips, and lift out!

Giddy like a school girl!

This is great news! Thank you both so much!! I'm going to get it today.
Btw, seems like a waste of good cake so I'll probably not be performing that test but I'm glad to hear you already have.

Agreed! - just keep the water heat button selected to insure a 145 degree main wash (the closed detergent section).

If you're not getting perfect results out of one of these machines you the operator are doing something wrong

There is one thing

We installed the dishwasher today and put her through the paces with no mishap so I'm quite pleased. However, the door, when shut, is not completely even across the front because the door doesn't shut as tightly on the left as it does on the right. This was an issue we noticed once we got it home a week ago but as I said it hasn't leaked yet so should I even worry about it? If so, is there a simple solution?

Look how pretty she is! Looks good with my stove IMHO.

Looks great! You chose well with both the range and the dishwasher.

Keep an eye on the door situation. I'll let one of the Kenmore experts advise whether to mess with it or not. As long as it isn't leaking, just enjoy your almost modern hurricane-in-a-box!
