Hotpoint Decorator12 washer. Any guess on age? Someone took the agitator and tub apart, so it's probably a non runner.

BTW, I did place a bid, we'll see if I get it.

My guess would be around 1968.

1968 looks about right, but no that's not a fountain filter agitator. The machine looks close to BOL which had the straight vane agitator, more upper end models had the spiral filter-agitator. The agitator drive block seems to missing as well.

The drive block may be laying in the tub. I remember seeing a bearing, and some other things in there.

I have a 1966 Hotpoint Sweets insert that has "Hotpoint Decorator Series Washers and Dryers" with a subtitle of "Designed expressly for builders and remodelers"

"LW610 Decorator Twelve has two cycles, three wash temperature selections, detergent dispenser, underwater lint filter"

I also have a 1968 Hotpoint Sweets insert with the same offering, new numbers.

"LW710 Decorator Twelve has two cycles, three wash temperature selections, detergent dispenser and underwater lint filter."

Both consoles match your washer.

That's the exact model we had when I was young - we got it in June of 66
Ours was in white - I hope it goes to a good home and someone can restore it
If I remember correctly the model was LW610

I don't expect it to sell for much, maybe my bid will hold up.

Yeah, the little Frisbe on the agitator was supposed to be a "dispenser".
When you turned the machine on the water coming in would just spray the contents into the tub.

The goose-neck agitator is a serious plus for this machine. This was a great agitator and IMO outperformed the lame spiral design.
I have one from about '69 that is a minimum two-speed. She works fine after restoration---- as a gravity-drain unit. The pully to the old pump is fused to the drive shaft of the motor. Lame spiral agitator, though. Waiting for clothes to roll over is like waiting for a pot of water to boil.
