Prior to this I had a Maytag mechanical timer model. Worked great for 15 years. Then I started having issues. Wish I had known then what I know now. I think some of the issues were related to the removal of phosphates from the detergent. What year was that?
Anyway, I ended up replacing it with a Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher FGHD2465NB1A around 2012??? So this would be about seven years old, and past the life of these new "environmentally-friendly" appliances, I suspect. Despite having a new dishwasher, I still was having to rinse the dishes clean before putting them in. After years of owning it, I was recently thrilled to finally have a working dishwasher using Cascade Fryer Boil Out.
I notice the dishes do not seem to be getting clean now. The top arm may spin some, the middle arm doesn't seem to spin at all, the bottom arm seems to spin. I took out the whole assembly out at the bottom like the video linked to shows. I did not find anything significant. I was able to unscrew the top arm, water flows through it. Looks good to me. I took out the whole middle rack to view the middle arm. Looks clear to me. Water flows through it.
Another video suggests dragging this out, turning it on its side, and examining the recirculation pump. What do you all think?
If the suggestion is a new dishwasher, are there any good ol' fashioned timer models left? If not, what is a good recommendation. Thank you.
