Hi Everyone:
I know this is not appliance related but everyone here is so great about keeping appliances and other items alive, I thought it was worth a try.

I have an old Mettler-Toledo analytical lab balance for work. (Model PR802). It works great but was discontinued back in 2004. I cannot find a spare parts list.

The issue is one of the leveling feet has broken. I need something to replace that foot. (Fortunately, only the foot broke and not the threaded hole on the case.) Because of the need to make very small adjustments when you turn the foot, the thread size is very fine and it is plastic. I can find metric bolts that will fit but the fine threading is a problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bob

Have you tried ebay? You’d be surprised how sometimes you can find the most obscure and unusual things there, just by trying several different search suggestions. How about trying a search for metric bolts with extra fine threads? Or parts for Mettler-Toledo model PR802? Maybe you’ll find the same balance for cheap, and be able to use it for spare parts. You just may get lucky.

Good Luck!

HTH,
Eddie

Surprisingly, I found a short, extra fine metric bolt that fit in the Home Depot specialty fastener area. $1.30 later, my balance is happily level again.
