Darren--sent you a PM with the contact info.

I also clicked to see what other ads they have, and they do have a matching '68 Sears gas stove for $100

Oops! I just made a deal for the washer and dryer to come to southeast Texas.

Those Roper built stoves are as nearly as bad as the washer & dryer are good.

Maybe the gas versions are better, but the electric ones like my Aunt Julie had are lacking.

1969 was the year Kenmores debuted the Enzyme Soak cycle.

So after getting pictures of the model tags these Kenmores are 1970 models built in 1970 so it was the first year for these models. Jeannine thanks for posting another great Kenmore set to add to my collection!

This looks like the two-speed model, is it?

Model 110.S7014800C00
Serial C01003551

Dryer:
Model 110.7018800C00
Serial M00701376

Interesting. This is an 800 series washer for 1970, yet the interior is the same as what was in the 600 series that year.

Yes I’ve been doing a lot of research on Kenmore models and features. They sure had a lot of different models and also a lot held over from previous years and some rebadged. The large capacity washer that was introduced in 1967 had the 1964 style control panel for example. It seems they did stuff like this quite often. Another example is the 1966 pair that I have. They were ladies in 1966 but these were built in 1968 and badged Kenmore 900. The washer kept the three speed motor and the rotoflex agitator.

Gas Hi-Oven Kenmore Range By Roper

combo52's profile picture

These were even worse than the electric models, they tended to develop  gas leaks in the piping that had several pivots in it for the movable siding cook-top. They also had a complicated electric ignition system for the broiler in the top of the oven.

This range looks to be in really good condition in spite dirt on the outside, it does not look like it cooked many Thanksgiving feasts, good luck finding oven shelves and supports.
