Supposedly the house in the show was an exact duplicate of the Nelsons' actual home. When the appliances changed in the show, as indicated by the above still shots, I guess they also changed at the actual house? Initially, they were Hotpoint people, I didn't realize that wasn't always the case.

From the information that I have, those Hotpoint models appear to be 1960 vintage. If so, the catalog that I have only has 3 dishwashers - the De Luxe (DA25-A), the De Luxe (DA35-A) and the Customline (DA65-A). The first two are identical with the exception of the 35-A having a rinse aid dispenser. The Customline has the double-deck water action with the red disc. No clear images of the fronts are provided.

When Hotpoint was a sponsor of the show, there was a GE Model 12 Triple Whip mixer to the right of the sink. When the show was in color, the mixer was a yellow Model 12 Sunbeam Mixmaster. |
