2007 speed queen washer

That is a AWN 432 Speed Queen washer. My wife and I bought that washer with a ADE40 Speed Queen dryer in 2007. We never had a ounce of problems with the top load Speed Queen washer. We had the set until 2013 when we bought the front load speed queen washer that we had so many problems with. There was one model above that one when we bought the set but the dryer was the top of the line when we bought the set. Those machines were real work horses.

Does it have lights on the control panel? It looks like there may be some tiny leds or something.

Here's the chance to get it back. Are you going to get it?

there are no lights

Our machine had no lights on the washer but the dryer had a light for the drum. I sold that set when we moved to oregon for 200 bucks our set was heavily used. I thought that was a fair deal. Then we bought the Speed Queen front load washer and bought the same dryer the ADE40 model. My sister now has the dryer and the washer went to the dump

sorry to hear about your disappointment with the FL'er.

I swear by Whirlpool duets.

front loaders

We had sever problems with our speed queen read my prior posts. We purchased Kenmore Elite front loaders and are extremely pleased this far with them.

Great.

Who makes those? Are those Samsung? I've heard good things.

Kenmore Elite's

They are made by LG. We like them better due to larger capacities more flexibility in cycle programming and the washer has jets around the door to keep the load saturated. We purchased the extended maint agreement contracts for the machines and they are serviced regularly.

I'm glad they're working out.

Do you know the model no.?

I'm guessing it has a filter clean-out access cover near the bottom front panel?

That's my only complaint about the older Duets, if you needed to clean out the filter, which one does need to do like once a year or so..... you have to remove the entire lower panel with a nut driver to access it. And it isn't easy to unscrew the filter front. Plus, water comes out all over.

German Built Duets

Were fairly good washers, But they tangle far too much and can take forever to balance a load, once you use one of the new larger SQ FL washers you will never look back.

Last week I refurbished a 9 YO WP [ German Duet ] that had only been used for 2 years then stored, nice enough washer with all the bells and whistles but infuriating to use if you like to watch and want to get Laundry done on any type of schedule, the 14 YO SQ FL  machine in the shop next to it is 1/2 done with the 2nd load while the WP is still trying to balance a load of jeans it tangled, I have better things to do, LOL

the model number is

41072.311

Yes our machine has the drain/pump clean out on the bottom left hand side. There is also a small hose next to it that you can pull down and drain what ever water is there or in the drum into a small pan to avoid making a small flood. Theses machines are excellent performers and keep up with the demands of our family's needs.

Nice

bradfordwhite's profile picture

Super nice.

Yes, having a tube that one could lower and put into a pan to evacuate the water before opening the filter would be a huge help.

Again, I don't know why whirly-pool didn't do that.

Those are definitely supercapacity. They are 2" wider than mine.

Well I hope they continue to work well for you. I've heard good things about these. They seem to have good reviews.

thats them

The machines in reply 11 are the ones we have now. The only difference is that we did not buy the pedestals to go with them.
