This thing has been on my mind all weekend. I even had it in the "cart" ready to checkout, but the sensible side of my says NO WAY are you spending that for a TOASTER!

The other side says "But it's usually $500 and it just looks so cool to have on your counter top. Plus free shipping and $5 coupon."

But really, it doesn't seem to be made better than any other toaster I'm sure it's just the same as any beyond that metal facade and fancy buttons.

I just ordered earlier this week, a Cuisinart, that cost nearly 1/3 the price of this one, so I know I don't need anymore. But small appliances are my weakness.

If I we're going to spend hundreds of dollars on a toaster, I'd get a real commercial grade unit, such as a Toastmaster, Star or Hobart. These are US made, and heavy duty.

I love my late 1930s Toastmaster 1B6.  I've been using it daily since 1986.

I bought a Cuisinart at BJ's for $39 bucks.

It works just fine and is Stainless too.

But I do have a Self Lowering Sunbeam which makes perfect toast. Just trying to preserve it.

I had a KitchenAid auto lower/raise toaster....it was the worst toaster I have ever had. It took a long time to toast (if you can call it that). The toast came out very unevenly toasted and was hard as a rock.
