When I first saw these I didn’t have much interest in them and forgot about them. BUT then one day I starting checking out some old threads on electronic belt drive Kenmores. These still happened to be available and the Craigslist ad was 2 months old according to the ad at the time. Well they are coming to Texas and after looking at the old threads now I want an early set. I’m going to have to build another shop because mine is full wall to wall!!! The set in the link below is beautiful.

Thank you Keith for posting these originally! Well these machines made it to Texas. The nice white wash basket failed because the heavy porcelain did not go all the way up the tub shaft. The tub has multiple holes in it and is generally rotten in the bottom as well as a terrible center post. Otherwise this washer is extremely clean and looking at it you wouldn’t believe that it has these issues. The dryer drum is bad as well. It’s been so long since I’d worked on a belt drive that I’d forgotten how they’d cheapened their build quality from ‘82 to the end of production. I remember seeing lots of bad tubs now and that I trashed a lot of them because of this. Like I said the finishes inside and out on these are beautiful and I will bring them back to their former glory.
