Congratulations, really. To still have it is a success in my eyes.

I wish I had all the appliances I once had.

I got you by 10 years, Bob. My 1984 LA511 washer and DE410 dryer are still going strong with one $28 repair in all that time, thanks to the good people on AW. Best purchase I ever made. I want to keep them as long as I can. I could have bought a pair at Sears for half of what I paid for my Maytags back then, but these REAL Maytags are bullet proof and have never regretted buying them.

I have always liked these dryers. They just seem to do a good job and with proper maintenance last a long time. I know I will take a lot of $hit for this but I like them nearly as well as the top filter WP.

The only repair was in warranty within the first 6 months.  The timer did something strange and the buzzer quit working.  Timer was replaced and I had my buzzer again.

No 25th anniversary cake??

If we all got a piece of cake, you would have plenty of dirty dishes to make a few "Bob-loads" for the dishwasher!
;o)
