I have a Maytag MAV8557AWW,
and lately, the washer has been flooding at the bottom whenever it fills the tank during the wash.

Some say its washer inlet valve, but I'm not too sure. Also, rarely, but sometimes the washer doesnt spin, is this because of a bad lid switch?

Thanks,
Teeeem

No Brenden is correct [ reply #3 ], new or rebuilt washer time, this was a Norge designed machine and they are not worth doing major repairs on.

Recommend putting the money into a used Whirlpool / Kitchen Aid / Kenmore Direct Drive washer....

Can be repaired inexpensively to run for many years to come. Huge supply of inexpensive parts and designed for easy repair.
