I went to my friend Logan's house and saw his new/used bosch dishwasher from 2007. the first I noticed when I opened it up, I noticed it had what I believe was a plastic tub in it. I also saw a filter in the machine. Upon further inspection, I saw there was no exposed heating element. I suspect it was hidden. I got to fill his rinse aid dispenser with Cascade power dry rinse aid and got to try it out. I used a cascade complete pack. Another thing I noticed was that there was no prewash dispenser. It had no start button or options on it. However, it did have a power button and 4 cycles. those were: power scrub, normal, delicate and rinse /hold.
When I pushed power then normal, it started up automatically. The first thing I observed was it would drain first. then, it would fill with water. then, the water recirculation pump would come on. it would first start up, then turn off then come back on in a split second. I wonder why some bosch dishwashers do that. both arms operated simultaneously. the wash pump reminded me of the whirlpool point voyager. when it would drain, it would run the water circulation pump, then drain and repeat. It was very interesting.
I asked him how the dishes turned out, and he said they turned out much much better. I did let him know that he doesn't have to prewash anything, especially with Cascade. He did tell me that it would get extremely hot, much more than the last one. anybody ever used bosch dishwashers? if so, what did you observe? I wish I had picture shots, but some of you will know what I'm talking about.
