I’m pretty excited about my latest acquisition. A rather large lot of various vintage laundry detergents including large boxes of Tide, Rinso, Fels, Fab and Drive. All boxes are full and unused. Some in better shape than others which is perfect since I intend to try some of these. Cool old detergents!

Instant Fels

was what my mom used when I was a little kid. I always liked the box, as the shiny red & green reminded me of Christmas paper. Have fun with your new detergents.

Cool! Where did you find all that? Is there any scent?

Saw that listing but would have had my head handed to me on a plate if brought another box, bag, bottle, or other container of laundry detergent into this house.

Have been told in no specific terms, and thus warned off any future acquisitions. *LOL*

Have vintage Fels Naptha powder; you'll get most bang out of it by using phosphates in wash and first rinse water.

My vintage boxes of Fab while cleaned well long ago lost any sort of "lemon fresh" scent.

Haven't cracked open the Rinso with color safe bleach, so cannot comment.

Did you find a good estate sale?  That's a great haul, and truly vintage.  I haven't had luck with older than 80's stuff in a long time.

There is still plenty out there from usual sources

But finding things at good prices is another matter. That and since fleaPay has begun collecting sales taxes when piled onto shipping it makes purchase of bulky items like boxes of detergent dear.

Find best stock comes from those liquidating NOS from stores or other places that long ago shut down, and or perhaps an housewife who stocked for duration, but never used. Latter however only yields good results if detergent boxes were stored in dry and clean environment. You see plenty on FB and fleaPay where boxes are bulging and or otherwise show exposure to moist conditions. Those are things one would take a pass....
