Would this be a new version of the mini tub? |

this goes back to a Hotpoint I believe....where you could wash two loads at the same time....
oddly enough, you could bleach whites in one load, and darks in another....without mixing the waters together... I could see this coming in handy at times...... I know I use my mini-basket a lot more than I anticipated.....once you start, you find many uses.... |

Nah, this is a Brastemp. (Whirlpool) It was released in Brazil 1 or 2 years ago. The idea didn't work very well. I'm not sure if it's still on the market or not. |

But yes I did mean the mini basket not tub lol
I guess its what LG are simulating with that mini washer under the FL...? Yes I do often wonder why Brastemp and not just Whirlpool is it copyright or something? Yogi I would assume the bleaching would be done in the main tub as surely when it span it would bleach your darks? |

I, and presumably Yogi, didn't mean the machine is a Hotpoint. It clearly is labeled as Brastemp and we know that's part of Whirlpool. The design of the mimi tub, however, very much favors the *design* of Hotpoint's DuoTub, IMO. The DuoTub kept the water for both tubs completely separated at all times so one of the two loads could be bleached without affecting the other. English-translation YouTube subtitles clearly are not much accurate but the fellow said the machine senses that the top tub is filled when it overflows, presumably into the main tub, so mixing of water apparently does occur on this Brastemp design. |
