I must say, that Laundromat must be in a rather upscale neighborhood!  I was going with my Mom to Laundromats in the 60s when our Frigidaire washer broke down and I don't recall anyone ever being dressed as those good folks.  You have to love vintage advertising!

An old friend of my Mother's talked about her first airplane ride in 1962: the men wore suits and hats; the women wore gloves. Contrast that with my recent trip through Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport last month: chanclas and sweat pants that looked like pajamas were the rule, not the exception - and I like it!
