Just Humming?

You do not mention if what you hear is the actual pump motor running or not. If the pump is, in fact, running but you hear no water splashing around, is the water turned on to the machine or in the house itself?

Check and see what is actually happening and let us know so we can be of further help to you.

If the motor is running, you can pour a few quarts of water into the tub and see if the pump is working and also, check below for any leaks from the pump seal. Since you say you are in a new home, the machine may have sat idle for a long time and may have developed some leaks.

ok guys i have done some work on the old girl. she pump sprays and drains and drys but i think i have a timer issue possibly. if i manually rotate knob it does it thing. if i start at a full cycle it starts and fills but dial doesn't seem like it is advancing. i hear it click from time to time but doesn't drain. if i manually rotate it it drains. could i have a bad thermal switch that powers timer motor?
