I think this clearly is your basic three water level, three temperature hot, warm, cold wash all with cold rinse, and at least two speeds each for both agitation and spin selected independently outside of the timer, and in that handsome copper...

Time for AMKrayo to go Vintage? With this one? Will need nearby technical support...

Definitely an A206, the model I grew up with. The black agitator and the non-shiny trim around the console gives it away.

Dave,

On the regular cycle, I think that you will find that the three temperature buttons select cold or warm wash with a cold rinse, hot wash with a warm rinse. The speed buttons select regular wash action with fast spin or gentle wash action with slow speed.

When you use the permanent press cycle, all wash temperatures yield a cold rinse.
Both wash speeds only give a fast spin. While the temperature override is obvious, the fast (but short) spins have always seemed wrong. Even CR reported on this in its reviews of these machines.

I can only assume that this was due to the timing phases of its double cooldown. Maybe someone more knowledgeable here can confirm this.

David
